With a background in Hollywood as a trained actress, she utilizes the power of drama, poetry, comedy, and spoken word in the study of God’s Word.
Wendy Speake is the author and host of the annual, online 40 Day Sugar Fast, The 40 Day Social Media Fast, and The 40 Day Feast. These daily devotionals are purposed to accompany men and women through their own 40 day fasts. When we can pinpoint what it is that we turn to, in lieu of turning to God, we can then choose to set it down (fast from it) in an effort to feast on God’s sweet Word and his sustaining nearness!
Before her 40 Day book series, Wendy co-authored two popular parenting books with Amber Lia. Triggers: Exchanging Parents’ Angry Reactions for Gentle Biblical Responses (along with The Triggers Study Guide) was followed by Parenting Scripts: When What You're Saying Isn't Working, Say Something New. Back in 2016, Wendy also co-authored Life Creative: Inspiration for Today’s Renaissance Mom with Kelli Stuart. Together they encourage fellow creatives to use their artistic gifts (smack-dab in the midst of motherhood) to bless their homes, communities, and the far reaches of the world! There is so much Gospel power bound up in a mom’s creativity!
Regardless of the age or stage of her readers, Wendy’s goal is always the same: to see women come to faith, grow in faith, and share their faith!
